National Breastfeeding Awareness Week 2008
11:00-16:00, Thursday, 15 May 2008
Thanks to all staff, volunteers, peer supporters and families who attended the New Art Gallery Walsall hosted event for National Breastfeeding Awareness Week 2008.
The event attracted 300 adults and 200 children. In fact, there were 682 adults in the building on the day, which means that visitors who came to the Art Gallery also had their awareness raised about breastfeeding.
Julia brown, Infant feeding Co-ordinator for Heart of Birmingham PCT, Jo Malin a Breastfeeding Network Helper, Michelle a local young mother and Caroline Mansell were interviewed for 15 minutes on Ed Doolan’s WM radio show as a live broadcast. Ed was a very supportive advocate within the discussion on breastfeeding in public places.
